Finally Found

Sunday, July 24, 2011

I've finally found a store that actually sells MM books here in Sydney; Ever After: the romance book specialists. You will definitely be seeing me there on my next day off.

P.S Hmm... I'm seriously thinking of cleaning up this blog. I'll get back to you if I ever actually get to doing it =P

WHAT THE F*CKERY

17 July 2011, Sunday

With the new age thing of ebooks and so forth, it is not unusual for me to have my fair share of ebooks in tow.

So, I usually buy the ebook, read it, and if it hits my omg it's fricking fantastic radar, I will order in the hard copy (Cos I still love my paperback books much better than a screen). This has been working out well for me for a while, until I decided to do something different.

I decided to use a different place to buy my hard copy books. Right. That sounds simple. Should've been simple... how can something so simple be so messed up?

I ordered a book nearly 3 and a quarter weeks ago and still haven't received it. What the hell is going on there? The longest I've ever had to wait at my old place (and the place I'm going to go back to purchasing my books thank you very much) has been 2 weeks! And do you know what? I paid three times the normal shipping price to get it delivered within "2-4 days". What the FUCK??

That is my last straw.

Books-A-Million GO FUCK YOURSELF!

Pet Reading Peeves

30 March 2011, Wednesday

Don't you just hate it when you start reading a book or a blurb or a whatever and then bang... OH NO! What did the author do to the book!?!?

Well, these things drive me insane, especially when it happens unexpectedly!

Pet Reading Peeve 1: Writing in first POV is an automatic turn off, I can't stand it and you know, I'm the type of reader who tends to just read the blurb and buy the book, I don't flip inside the book to take a read first ... Check to self, always read at least one page before buying a freaking book.

Pet Reading Peeve 2: In a similar vein, I can't stand reading from one persons view point all the time. I kinda like to know what the other person involved thinks too thank you - and you know what, reading a single page of a a book won't tell me this.. about a third into the book then I realise!

Pet Reading Peeve 3: Menage trois or anything more than two. Thanks. But no thanks.
